Lanzheron Beach, Odessa
Beach & Lanzheron & raquo; in Odessa was named in honor of the French commander and governor-general of the surrounding lands, who lived in the city from 1815 to 1822. He made a big contribution to the development of the region, since his reign, dozens of residential areas have been built, modern infrastructure has been established (building bridges over ditches, ennobling the wild places of the coast, etc.). Having chosen a beautiful coast a few kilometers from the city, Alexander Langeron ordered to build a dacha for recreation. A cozy piece of the shore was planted with gardens, made a stone access to the water, built a large manor, which Pushkin visited during his exile. By the beginning of the 20th century, from the delightful beauty of the manor there were only ceremonial arches. They can be viewed in archival photos of the city, which are preserved on postcards.
Nowadays beach & laquo; Lanzheron & raquo; still remains one of the most beautiful places in Odessa. Beautiful water smoothly smoothly passes into a dense coastal greenery and a low rock. On the beach, there are various restaurants, nightclubs, shops and hotel complexes. Nearby is worth visiting the adjacent Alexandrovsky Park, where the first tree was planted by the Emperor Alexander II himself, a little later there was erected a monument in honor of the famous event.
