Church-cistern, with. Transitions

The temple-cistern is a rather strange phrase. Many wonder how this can really be. But this is not a mistake when writing, such a church exists in Ukraine in Ternopil, in the village of Transitions.

To create a church used a real tank. The parishioners at their own expense were settling down, despite the skeptical attitude of fellow villagers. The attached entrance closes the tank (its length is 10 meters), which creates the appearance of a real church. Over time, a small bell tower was built, the area around the temple acquired a well-groomed appearance. The original building became a landmark of the village, it began to visit residents from other villages, and even tourists.

Now parishioners of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Jana Nepomucenaweekly gather for prayer, there are about thirty of them. This small but quite cozy room with a symbolic altar became an integral part of the life of the villagers.
