Kuma - the mystical ruins of the past
Not far from the Italian Naples are the ruins of a once prosperous city, called Kuma. The city was founded by the Greeks in the eighth century BC and destroyed in less than 200 years by the Saracens.
Excavations on the territory of the former majestic city began about a century ago. During this time, archaeologists managed to restore the location of key structures of this fortress. In particular, the temple of Zeus. True, only its foundation has been restored.

Geographically, Kuma is located 35 kilometers from Naples, so tourists who purchase tours to Italy, without fail, seek to get to Kuma. But not for the sake of the fortress or the same temple of Zeus.

The fact is that besides the statues and cremation burials, archaeologists have managed to partially restore several tunnels. About one of them was discovered a cave, which was a kind of cell of the prophetess of the Kumskaya Sibyl.

According to legend, Sibyl tried to sell to the then ruler of the Roman Empire books with prophecies, where all the reasons for the fall of the empire and other events were indicated. However, Tarquinius Proud too late agreed to buy books and most of them were burnt.
