Monument to the Warriors-liberators of Dneprodzerzhinsk
The Monument to the Liberators of Dneprodzerzhinsk can be called a monumental symbol of the epoch erected to the 30th anniversary of the victory over the German- fascist invaders. Every year veterans and participants of the battle for Dneprodzerzhinsk, remembering the hard years of the warand the liberation of the city themselves gather here. The whole generation managed to grow up near this stele, associating its height and power with the strength and courage of the young liberators of the native Dneprodzerzhinsk.
Monument Construction
The authors of the project was a team of ambitious architects, headed by A. Zaitsev and A. Romanenko. A group of experienced and talented sculptors posed a difficult task for themselves & ndash; to build simultaneously a modern, majestic, voluminous in size and capacious in essence a monument that will cause the townspeople to be proud of the years of the Second World War. And most importantly, this monument will symbolize eternal memory of the deceased. What is especially surprising is that this goal was achieved. Without superfluous words and distracting sculptures on it, the 25-meter stele to the Liberator Warriors is the main monument to the Great War in Dneprodzerzhinsk.
Location of the stele
The advantage of this attraction is that it is the easiest to find it in the city. From the side of the railway station it is on the right side of the central Lenin Avenue. Immediately you can see the main bust of the city & ndash; a monument to Leonid Brezhnev. In addition, it is also worth to visit the outstanding temples of this region, which have a delightful architecture and beautiful interior decoration.
