Art Museum, Lutsk

The Art Museum in Lutsk began its work in 1973. It is located in a historical place - on the territory of Lutsk Castle.

In the distant 1789, this building housed the county chancellerery of a noble court.

The museum has several main departments. In the department of foreign artyou can get acquainted with the masterpieces of art schools in Germany, France, Spain, Austria, England, etc. The exhibits cover the period 17-20 centuries. Here you will get acquainted with the main genres and styles in art.

In the department of Ukrainian and Russian artthere are exhibits of 19-20 centuries. Here you can trace the main steps of the development of the art of Ukraine. In the paintings, the main landmarks of the history of the country and the states associated with it are traced. The presented works will acquaint you with many talented fellow countrymen.

Not long ago a special exhibitionappeared in the museum. The new exposition is dedicated to Ukrainian portraiture. The basis of the composition was the work of the Radziwill Castle in Olyka. Here you can see the family portraits of this family, made in different period of time and different masters.

In the art museum of Lutsk you will find a lot of interesting things. There are often held all kinds of festivals and master classes. The museum is open from 10:00 to 18:00, the weekend is Monday, Tuesday.
