Church of All Saints, Old Merchik

For connoisseurs of spiritual history and culture, there will undoubtedly be a visit to the Church of All Saints in Merchik near Kharkov. The first foundation of the wooden church was laid in 1680. In 1778 a stone church was built in his place at the expense of Count Shidlovsky.

The icon contained the icon of the Miraculous Akhtyrskaya Mother of God. According to the existing legend, a blind girl, praying before this icon, miraculously began to see. After the revolution, it was lost, so they wrote a new icon. The temple was closed until 1994. Now he reopened his doors.
