Spasov monastery, Pershotravnevoe
The reason for the construction of the Savior's monastery was the train crash in which Alexander None of the royal family was harmed, butthe emperor saw in this special signand ordered the revelation of the Church of Christ the Savior and the chapel of the Savior not made by hand in the revenge of the tragedy. This happened in 1888 in the village of Pershotravnevoye, Kharkov region.
The first temple, erected on this site, could simultaneously accommodate up to 700 parishioners, and its walls encircled the covered gallery. And the chapel, built on the very spot where the royal family was at the time of the crash, towered a tetrahedral tower with a golden dome and a cross.
During the war, the temple was destroyed, and the chapel was decapitated, using its territory as a warehouse. After the collapse of the USSR, reconstruction began, which ended in 2003. In place of the altar of the old church, a wooden cross was placed, and a new church was erected a little further.
Not far from the temple you can see the pedestal, which was installed bust of the emperor, not survived the revolution. Another church dedicated to this event is in Foros in the Crimea.
