Historically, it happened that Trostyanets, passing from hand to hand, in 1868 year became the property of entrepreneur Leonid Koenig. He turned out to be an active man and took up the modernization of the sugar factory built by Prince Golitsyn. Koenig had a lot of land, he used it to grow horses, and he also had his sugar beet plantation. Then Koenig built a refinery, a little later the distillery was founded. After 6 years, the entrepreneur opened a mill and in 1908 a parquet factory. All this led to the growth of industryin the city. The population of the region has increased, the quality of life has increased significantly.

The energetic entrepreneur died in 1903 at the age of 83. And in 2010 grateful residents of the city put him a monument near the entrance of his beloved child - sugar refinery . Today chocolate is made here.
