Ogievsky Manor, Krolevets

here stayed the great poet T. Shevchenko. In memory of himself, he planted a pear in front of the house of Ogievsky and left. But not only Kobzar's visit is glorious this house. Two years later on February 12, 1861, the famous forester and founder of the V. Ogievsky dynasty was born here. Near the same house there was a funeral procession of TG Shevchenko. Now on this place there is a stone-monument.

The house in Krolevets with its buildings is stored as cultural monumentstrong>, connected with the life of T. Shevchenko. Documents of those times which testify to it are preserved. In 1964 a memorial cast-iron board was installed here. Now in the estate there is a museum of famous Krolevets weaving.
