Mykolaiv Church, Gluhov
On the Cathedral Square of the city Glukhov of the Sumy region is the Nikolaev church, which refers to the oldest monuments of urban architecture. The church was built in the times of Zaporizhzhya Sich in 1693. The master of the Cossack church was the master M. Efimov. The church was built in the elegant architectural style of the Ukrainian baroque.
In 1871 the church underwent some changes in the external facade. To the western part of the temple was attached a three-tier bell tower, and to the south - a sacristy with a high roof. Despite the small area, the church has a majestic silhouette, which is due to the use of special methods of architectural construction. All the heads of the structure consist of several parts, the transitions between which are connected by smooth vaults. In Hetman's time on the square in front of the church were Cossack happy.
Mykolaiv the church bewitches with its grace and beauty. After the restoration in 1992, the church again opened its doors to the faithful parishioners and connoisseurs of religious monuments.
