Many tourists are familiar with the picturesque Pokrovsky Cathedral in the town of Akhtyrka, Sumy region. In the ensemble of the cathedral stands a small Vvedenskaya church-bell tower. It is not located in the cathedral itself, but near the main entrance.

Many tourists are familiar with the picturesque Pokrovsky Cathedral in Akhtyrka of the Sumy region. In the ensemble of the cathedral stands a small Vvedenskaya church-bell tower. It is not located in the cathedral itself, but not far from the main entrance. The bell tower itself combines lightness and monumentality of lines. This visual effect is achieved through a round shape and a reduction from the bottom upwards of all three tiers of the church.

The construction of the church lasted 10 years and was completed in 1784.The main architect is P. Yaroslavsky. Late baroque styleis noticeable in all architectural and decorative elements of the building. The lower tier is equipped with small porticos with columns. Also, the columns frame the upper tiers, visually as if directing the church to the sky. The church is small, but it has beautiful decorative elements. On the bell tower there is a clock with a battle and a huge bell. The top of the church is crowned with a restored original sculpture.
