Tereshchenko Palace, Andrushevka

Tereshchenko Palace is an architectural monument preserved for descendants. In the south of the Zhytomyr region in the town of Andrushevka is the palace of Tereshchenko. He was a well-known Ukrainian sugar maker.

The palace - the embodiment of the French neo-Renaissance style, a palace and park ensemble with front entrance gates. This is a true architectural monument of the 19th century.

Tereshchenko Palace is a two-storey building, made of brickwork, in terms of its volume asymmetrically. The Tereschenko family bought the castle in 1848 from the princes of Berzhinsky. The palace on its territory has a park, which has preserved century old oaks, cedar and the only in its instance a cork tree.

During the Civil War, the building housed the headquarters of the First Cavalry Army headed by Budyonny. And to this day the imprint of history keeps a balcony above the entrance, remembering all his speeches in front of the bulk. At the moment there is a secondary school in the building.
