Sculpture River-Love

In the very center of Kiev, near the metro station "Khreshchatyk", a small square was created - an island of tranquility in the midst of a bustling city. His true decoration was the sculpture "River-Love", made by Alexander Lidagovsky, a master with extraordinary thinking.

Unusual, at first glance, the name of his composition, the author explained very simply. The river is often perceived as immersing in some dynamic and exciting state. In the same state, lovers often stay. Figures of a man and a woman, Mr. Lydagovsky, depicted frozen, enchanted by looking at each other. And the fact that in a mirror image you can often see the reflection of passing people - it also has a certain value. Why not see yourself in two lovers - or a pleasant memory, or even a long-awaited future, or maybe a beautiful reality.

The sculpture is noteworthy for its refinement, therefore it has a great chance to get to the list of favorite places for meetings of Kiev citizens and guests of the city. Not less popular are other works of Lidagovsky: the composition "Love-river" standing in the middle of the Landscape alley, the air sculpture "Balance" in the street of Sergey Strutinsky and the composition "Ladder" installed in the park on the Rusanovskaya embankment.
