One of the most revered images in Russia is the icon of the Kazan Mother of God. Go to her for healing, she is asked to indicate the path of the stray. It is this icon that built a large number of temples around the world and Ukraine is not an exception.

In the Odessa region there are several churches erected to the glory of the holy image. One of them is in the village of Primorskoe (Kiliya district). The main part of the villagers are the Old Believers, who honor their traditions.

The Church of Our Lady of Kazan was erected by Old Believers in 1903.The church is painted sky blue, has one canopy and a high bell tower. Its entrance is decorated with a portico with columns, and in the summer a hedgerow.The interior of the temple is rich in icons and decor, but of special interest is a beautiful iconostasis.

Arriving at Odessa, it's worth taking a little time to visit the architectural monument and the religious center located nearby, see the temple and talk with the locals.
