Museum of pottery, Vyshgorod
Vyshgorod was the cradle of Ukrainian pottery. In these lands there are unique clays, it can be said, just under our feet. Therefore, in 2006 a unique pottery museum was opened here, which reminds us that this city was the key point of the path "From the Varangians to the Greeks." According to archaeologists, in the past about 5-6 hectares were operated by about 250 -300 horns.
The exposition of the museum represents to our attention the only surviving horn, over which a pavilion is built, as well as various archaeological finds of the times of Kievan Rus. Every Thursday master classes are held, where you can make various pots, plates, toys with the help of experienced potters. It will be a pleasant memory of an unusual museum in Vyshgorod.
