Torunsky Pass
Mountain passes have long been associated with travelers with a lot of inconvenience, and even danger at crossing. But this is not about the Toruń pass, which is one of the most convenient places in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located between the villages of Vyskov and Torun. The roads here are relatively flat, which allows you to ride in a jeep without fear of getting stuck, although of course there is no smelling of asphalted autobahns. The reason for the flatness of the roads is that local residents also do not miss the chance to earn money by driving visiting tourists to these fabulously picturesque places.
The Torun Pass is located on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions, along it passes one of the highways (Dolina - Khust). The northern slope of the pass is gently sloping, but along the southern slope the winding winds up steeply. The saddle of the pass reaches 931 meters in height. Like many other localities, the pass preserves the memory of the last war: here you can find a Hungarian reinforced concrete pillbox(presumably 1940), as well as a cemetery where the Austro-Hungarian soldiers were buried, defending the First World War . However, do not assume that there are only wild and neglected places, there are separate recreation areas with gazebos for tourists.
It's better to come here from May to December, because at this time it is free of snow. In the autumn, you can pick mushrooms, but most importantly - there is always a very clean fresh mountain air, rushing to breathe in tired tourists from the cities.
