Holy Trinity Cathedral, Odessa
The cathedral is of venerable age, it was built in 1808. However, it was founded in 1795 and was wooden, but belonged to the Greek community. Hence the first name of the cathedral - Greek. Attached in 1838, two side-chapels created a cross-shaped building in Byzantine style. In the cathedral there are shrines - written in the 19th century on the Mount Athos icons of the Savior and the Iberian Mother of God, as well as the relics of the Saints of God and the Odessa Saints. In 2003, a Sunday school was opened at the cathedral.
Holy Trinity Cathedral was reconstructed in the 2000s. Today, they try to keep it in proper form as far as possible. One thing is certain - while in Odessa, take the opportunity to visit this beautiful place, which is located in the central part of the city.
