Two-Year-Old Boy Smokes 40 Cigarettes a Day3 photos
While smoking a cigarette behind the wheel of his truck, he looks like an elderly long-haul driver. But Ardi Rizal is only two years old—yet he can’t go through a single day without smoking 40 cigarettes. His father taught him this harmful habit. Due to nicotine addiction, the child is now experiencing weight problems, and shortness of breath prevents him from running and playing with other children. He spends his days sitting on the porch, smoking one cigarette after another. His mother, Diana, is so distressed that she doesn’t know what to do: ‘He’s completely dependent on cigarettes. If you don’t let him smoke, he starts getting angry and banging his head against the wall.’ According to his parents, Ardi only smokes a specific brand of cigarettes produced in Indonesia.
The authorities have become involved in this family’s problem. They promised to give the boy a real car if he manages to quit this harmful habit. But Ardi doesn’t even think about it. Local residents seem to be quite unconcerned about what’s happening to the child. One neighbor said that, in his opinion, the boy looks completely healthy and happy.
