A study conducted by British scientists amazed the entire world.6 photos
It turns out that if you use a monotonous avatar within a specific color range and refrain from changing it for at least two to three weeks, your interest in social media will gradually decrease, while your productivity will steadily increase.
The study involved two groups of 250 participants, all of whom were college students. The first group was able to update their avatars as usual. The second group was asked to choose one of six pre-defined color schemes and use it as their avatar on social media.
To the scientists’ surprise, the overall academic performance, productivity, and life satisfaction of the second group increased by 61% compared to the first group. Additionally, 34% of the participants in the second group reported that they were much less frequently approached by strangers who tried to add them as friends, while 8% said they felt more energetic and got better sleep as a result.
The scientists intend to conduct further research into the positive effects of monochromatic avatars on human psychology and their potential role in helping people overcome addiction to social media.
