In December 1948, a body was found on Somerton Beach in Adelaide with the words “Taman Shud” written on a piece of paper found in its pocket. This phrase appears on the last page of Omar Khayyam’s “Rubaiyat.” A later discovered copy of the poem contained a mysterious code, adding to the mystery surrounding this case.
