How to blow up big soap bubbles3 photos
To inflate giant bubbles, you will need:
1. A soapy solution
2. An inflation device
The simplest way to prepare the solution is as follows: mix 600 ml of water and 100 ml of glycerin (available at any pharmacy) with 200 grams of dishwashing soap. Glycerin helps make the walls of the soapy bubbles stronger.
Use soft water—hard water contains a lot of salts, which can make the bubbles fragile and burst easily. The easiest way to soften water is to boil it and let it cool so that the salts settle at the bottom. It’s also better to use warm water for this recipe, as soap dissolves more quickly in warmer temperatures.
Once all the ingredients are mixed well, your solution is ready.
Next, you need to make the inflation device. This can be simply two sticks tied together with a rope in such a way that it forms a triangular loop.
You can buy special sticks for this purpose, or use ordinary tree branches or thick wire. To make the device look more stylish, you can drill holes in the sticks and insert round hooks through them; then thread the rope through these hooks. Alternatively, you can simply wrap the rope around the sticks.
If you use thick wire as supports, just bend the ends to form loops for the rope to pass through.
Finally, you need to add a small weight at the bottom of the rope to ensure that it maintains a triangular shape while inflating the bubbles.
