Starch; water; a glass; a small pot or ladle, a teaspoon; a gas or electric stove... 1. Prepare the paste: pour a glass of cold water into a small pot. 2. Evenly mix in two teaspoons of starch and bring this mixture to a boil, but do not let it boil over. Stir constantly! The paste will be ready when it reaches a consistency that allows you to spread it with your hands, similar to sour cream. 3. Let the cooked paste cool down until it becomes slightly warm. 4. Shape the cotton into balls of the desired size. 5. Prepare a container suitable for dipping the cotton balls in the paste. Pour the paste into it. 6. Quickly dip each cotton ball in the paste and remove it immediately. Don’t soak them thoroughly; instead, coat them lightly with the paste. 7. Use your fingers to spread the paste more evenly over the surface of the cotton ball. 8. Place the prepared items on a flat, large surface. 9. Leave the cotton balls to dry. Turn them periodically to ensure even drying. 10. After they have dried, gently crush them slightly. 10. Tie threads around them and hang them up. Voila!
