North of Sardinia9 photos
Sardinia is a place that has changed my opinion that in Italy there are exceptionally stony beaches. In the south and west the island washes the Mediterranean Sea, in the east - the Tyrrhenian Sea, and in the north - the Bay of Bonifacio. Sardinia perfectly combines beach and outdoor activities. The northern and central part of the island is occupied by natural and archaeological reserves. In the south, elegant long beaches dominate, with crystal turquoise sea and pine groves.
On the first day of rest, it was decided to go to Parco Naturale Regionale Di Porto Conte - a beautiful nature reserve, which is excellentSuitable for hiking. The territory of the park is a mountainous area, from the highest point of which (361m.) Offers a breathtaking view of Alghero and the coast. Walking along the trails you can meet wild donkeys, eagles soar in the sky. Pine trees, melting under the hot sun, fill the air with a stunning pine aroma. The park has many routes, different in complexity. We walked along the path that leads to the highest point. It is not very complicated, but in +36 it was not easy. However, the award, in the form of beautiful landscapes, took off all the fatigue. The next day we visited Capo Caccia cape and walked along theEscala del Cabirol, which leads to the Neptune's grotto. It is located on the western side of the cape and consists of 656 steps carved into the rock.
You can also get into the cave by sea, but we chose the most picturesque option. They decided not to go to the grotto right away, since it’s not the safest and simplest thing to do with a child. But take a walk and see the beauty of the sea and mountains - we love it. Yes, and the son was happy to walk up the stairs and overtake tired tourists. After lunch, under a quiet hour, we drove to the north of the island in the town of Santa Teresa Gallura. The road takes a couple of hours. Along the way, you often meet frommacaw sheep. Cheese making is well developed in Sardinia. The most famous cheeses from sheep's milk are considered "Piccorino" and "Podda". Santa Teresa Gallura - a town that stands on hilly terrain, many streets are stairs. City beach Rena Bianca is marked with a blue flag. It is small, but incredibly beautiful. In general, all the beaches in Sardinia are uniquely fabulous. Coming to a new beach, you think “well, things can't be better,” and so on every time! On the beach, Rena Bianca is quite crowded, but no one interferes with each other at sea. You can safely swim in the waters of Bonifacio Bay andadmire the view of Corsica. And for older children and adults who love water activities, there are trampolines and slides on the water. To the right of the Rena Bianca beach there is a cape with a hill on which stands the Longosardo Tower. From its terrace you can see a beautiful panorama of Bonifacio Bay and the white cliffs of Corsica.
A walking path passes around the cape, you can walk, crawl along the rocks and make beautiful photographs. In Santa Teresa, Gallura is the port to which ferries from Corsica sail. And if you have a very long vacation and you are bored, then you can visit the French coast. Ferry postChno adjusted. There are several flights a day to Corsica and back. But generally, since you are already in beautiful Sardinia - enjoy its beauty. And Corsica is better to devote his next trip. North of Sardinia is dotted with numerous bays with small deserted beaches. Many of them can only be reached from the water. East of Santa Teresa Gallura is a large complex with apartments and rooms Villaggio la Marmorata, which has access to a wonderful beach of the same name La Marmorata.
West of Santa Teresa Gallura is Cape Cape Testa. This isdifferent stone park crowned by a lighthouse. In calm weather - it's just a beautiful place. But when the squally wind blows, the cape becomes a place where the water element appears in all its glory. Powerful waves, breaking on the rocks, turn into a real sea fireworks.
