Uruypin the title of Colonel Assessor, the highest honor bestowed upon a civilian at that time, for his role in establishing the university in the city. This honor granted him the right to claim noble status. However, the subsequent events in Egor Uruypin’s life took a less fortunate turn. Due to his health condition, another mayor was elected in the early 1905 year during the following elections.
