A quiet and cozy alley, yet located in the very heart of the city – it lies within Moscowvsky Administrative District, beginning at Feyerbach Square and extending to its intersection with Primerovskaya Street. Like many surrounding streets, this alley originated in the late 19th century. Back then, it was on the outskirts of Kharkiv; poor civilians, workers, and occasionally some quite wealthy individuals settled here. The Post Office Alley is truly remarkable. Today, most of its buildings are residential houses that have endured for decades or even over a hundred years. Yet, amidst them, the post office has survived to this day – perhaps one of the best in Kharkiv. This building was constructed in 1911 according to the design of an architect whose name is unknown to history. The post office was designed in the fashionable Modern style of that era. Today, within this once-grand mansion, whose facade is gradually losing its original appearance, the regional office of “Ukrtelekom” is located. Source: vk.cc/20GxIQ
