From 1887 to 1909, the owner of this property was Alexandra Pavlovna Pestrzeckaya, the wife of a Senior State Councillor. In 1887–1889, she had this three-story house built according to the design by architect B.S. Pokrovsky. The initial version of the plan, which proposed a two-story building designed by B.G. Mikhailovskiy, was ultimately rejected by her. At the same time, a two-story annex was constructed, connected to the main house by a gallery. Nearly simultaneously, another one-story annex was also built. Today, this house still stands, but during the restoration work in 1989, the female allegorical figures that originally adorned it were replaced by identical vases.
