Coastal Cappuccino. The Coastal Cappuccino, or Cappuccino Coast, is a natural phenomenon that occurs extremely rarely.7 photos
This time, I had the chance to try the coastal “capuccino” of Cape Town—or, rather, its coastline. The city itself is located in South Africa, and looking at the photographs, one might think that the sea has been turned into a large, foamy bath. Local residents compared this phenomenon to a huge cup of popular coffee with foam. According to scientists, this occurrence is the result of a massive mixture of seawater, algae, and various debris floating in the water. Under the influence of wind currents, these substances form enormous amounts of dense foam, which is naturally carried toward the shore. Apparently, this foam is completely harmless and gradually dissolves on the beach.
