In 1911, the owner I.H. Boyko built a unique two-story mansion featuring elements of Ukrainian architecture, according to the design by architect S.P. Timoshenko, who also lived there.
In the vestibule and on the walls of the staircase, paintings by the artist N. Samokish (1910–1912) have survived, albeit in poor condition.
In the 1930s, an additional two floors were added to the building, which resulted in the loss of its original character.
