During the years 1970 to 1980, the Alchévskys lived in the Harina property; and for a time, the private gymnasium owned by V. I. Zarúdnaia was located there as well. The residential areas owned by Kuzina y Harina extended from Bolshaya Sumskaya Street to Gogol Street. En 1873, both properties already belonged to Harina, and in that year she ordered the construction of a building specifically for the Third Boys’ Gymnasium, according to the plans of architect I. P. Gínsh. In 1901, the Association of Southern Russian Miners first acquired the property at number 18; in 1902, it had that building renovated and expanded by architect B. G. Mijálovskiy to add an additional floor. In 1906, the association purchased the property at number 20 as well, and in 1907 a new building was constructed there according to the designs of the Zagóski brothers, with the participation of V. G. Krichévskiy. This new building was attached to the existing structure at number 18. En 1916, the architect A. N. Bekétov, together with engineer Zelénin, carried out interior renovations on this combined building. The building remains in its current form today and is considered a cultural heritage site. It currently houses a technical school for radio technology.
