The building at 26 Veterinary Street was constructed in 1898 for the Kharkov Literacy Society, according to the design of architect I.I. Zagoskin. Before the revolution, it housed the second primary literacy school and the N.O. Borodaevsky Art School of Decorative Painting. Later, the building was extended further into the courtyard. Today, it serves as a clinical children’s hospital for the Kharkov station area. This building has been designated as a historical and architectural monument.
