Ruins of Nalab Castle

Ruins are located in the village of Korolevo almost on the outskirts. Nalab Castle was built in the 13th century. Originally it was a hunting lodge, and later - the summer residence of the kings of Hungary. In 1378 the castle was donated to the Romanian voevod Draha for military merits. In 1405 he became the property of the Pereni dynasty. This lasted until 1672, until Leopold I ordered to wipe the castle from the face of the earth. The reason for this was the involvement of a member of the Pereni clan in the Habsburg conspiracy. Since then, the remains of the building are gradually being destroyed, at the moment only the remnants of the walls remind it.

The castle is a historical and cultural monument. It is impossible to restore the original appearance of this structure, but having ascended to the top of the hill and touching the age-old walls, one can feel the spirit of the history of this place. Particularly beautiful are the remains of Nialab Castle at sunset, when on one side bright sunset colors are reflected in Tis, and on the other - only the first lights of the village of Korolevo are lit.
