Mount Popadja
The Popadja Mountain is one of the places that must be included in your route, the Gorgana massif. The slopes of the Popada are covered with unusual stone placers. At its top, one can still see the surviving traces of the World War I defensive line and stone border pillars.
Till now the origin of the name of the mountain remains a mystery. According to one of the legends, it was here that the famous oprichok Olexa Dovbush hid the captured assault, which he then returned for the ransom received for it. According to the second variant, once a handsome young Oprichok Maroussyak once lived, once a priest fell in love. She left her priest and went to live with Marusyak on a mountain, which people called Popady.
The easiest way to get to the mountain is by a 10-km path from the Grofs. They reach the mountain and through other places, including Rozhanka, in the south, or through the town of Strangul. But the latter variants are more complicated because of the crankshaft.
