Sokol camp-museum, Grinkov
Parents are eager to improve their children and, as a rule, choose seaside resorts or rest in the Carpathians. One of the oldest places of recovery, which reached our time, was the camp-museum "Sokol."
The reservoir camp is located in the village of Grinkov in the Ivano-Frankivsk region near Mount Siglis. The camp is the most first representative of the Ukrainian scout squadsand belongs to the organization "Plast". Its opening took place in the distant 1926.
For 13 years, the camp served as a base for the upbringing, recreation and training of young men. Here they were engaged not only in physical training, but also in the national education of future defenders of the country.
The formation of independent Ukraine served as a signal for the restoration of the camp "Sokol" and its life-affirming traditions. The initiative was shown by the former inmates of the camp.
Since October 2009, the camp-museum "Sokol" is considered a cultural monument of the country.
