Museum of Ethnography and Ecology of the Carpathian Krai, Yaremche

The Museum of Ethnography and Ecology was founded quite recently, but already managed to win the sympathy of local Yaremchans, as well as tourists who visited it. The museum raises and studies the issues of ethnic entities, cultural and everyday peculiaritiesPrykarpattya, considers the relationship between man and the environment, as well as its influence on nature.

In the 60's of the 20th century. a modern building was built, and the local ethnographer Mikhail Muzyrya took up the creation of the ethnographic museum, opening two thematic halls - paintings and historical and natural sciences. In 2007 they were named the Museum of Ethnography and Ecology of the Carpathian Region.

Also important is the fact that in the Museum of Ethnography and Ecology there are exhibitions of Hutsul folk art, festivals, which reveal the theme of spirituality and culture of the inhabitants of the Carpathian region, thematic round tables and seminars. The main direction of the Yaremchean Museum is folk art from the 17th to the 20th century.

The doors of the museum are open to you every day from 10.00 to 18.00, except Monday, for foreign tourists, a tour in a foreign language is possible.
