Originally, the building was built of wood, but then repeatedly rebuilt. In the present form the church was rebuilt and consecrated in 1857. During the years 1928-1935, the church underwent a large-scale reconstruction.

In 1946 the church was closed, and local monks were forced to move to neighboring Poland. When they left, they took with them and the main shrine of the temple - the icon of the Mother of God of the Holy Scapular. During the Soviet era, the fire protection depot was in the church. His work was restored in 1993.

The type of the structure of the church is basilica, as evidenced by its rectangular layout and the presence of one nave. The temple is built of brick and from the outside is lined with a special coating. A small chapel is attached to the right side of the temple.

Nowadays the church in Snyatyn is open for visits. The building is in good condition and is a local architectural monument. The church in Snyatyn, as before, belongs to the Roman Catholic Church.
