The Lenin Park is the the oldest parkof Kherson. It is the calling card of the city. The park is located in the historical part of Kherson. It was founded in 1785.

The park has an interesting story. He several times renamed and rebuilt. In 1868 the territory of the park was used for horse racing. But in a few years the trees were planted here again and turned into a beautiful park. Then it was called Denisovsky. On the anniversary of the reign of Emperor Alexander II, the park was renamed into Alexandrovsky. Then the park became known as Lenin. And in 2014 the city council decided to give the park the name "City Park".

It was designed in English park traditions. The central element is oak. Now the oak is considered a monument of nature. From it departs 8 main avenues. They, in turn, break up into a multitude of crooked paths. This gives the park a special charm and mystery.

There are also several buildings of the royal era. There are several gazebos, a platform and stairs leading to different entrances. The park has always been popular with residents of the city. Earlier the Kherson nobility liked to walk around here. Today tourists from all over the country come here.
