Turkish fountain
Favorite place of citizens for summer walks - parks with fountains. Not far from the Yacht Club, in the middle of the park is the Turkish Fountain. The fountain was created in 1792, this is all that remains of the once powerful complex of the Turkish Potemkin Palace.
As reported by historical archives, all the buildings (including the fountain) were made in the Moorish style. This explains the origin of the name of the fountain.
Originally, the fountain was planned to be covered with marble. The water for him came from the Spassky spring, but Potemkin's plans failed to materialize. Today, the concrete base was plastered, bright ornaments were painted in oriental style.
In Nikolaev, there are several fountains, which are so nice to walk on a hot day. You can look at the water game of the "Leo" fountain on the Fleet boulevard.
