Temple White Lotus

The temple, which is called the "White Lotus", is a shrine of Buddhists, which is the largest temple of this type in Ukraine. It was founded in 1988 and was finally built in 1990. The founder, and at the same time the architect of the White Lotus, is Vladimir Skubayev.

Followers of the temple belong to the kung fu school "Sha-Foot-Fan". The founders tell the legend that when creating the foundation of the temple, a stone was found that had a Buddha image with the mask of a warrior. Also, many believe that the founder of Buddhism has European roots, and the probable place of his birth is the territory on which modern Ukraine is now located. The assumption is based on the fact that the name of the founder of Buddhism Shakya-Muni is translated as a Scythian sage.

The temple accepts visitors and guests. On its territory you can see the conduct of the tea ceremony,as well as see how followers are studying kung fu, self-defense and Thai boxing.
