The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The church is located in the center of the town of Monastyrisk. This building was built in 1727 with the help of Joseph Potocki. The famous master John Georg Pinzel worked on the interior of the temple. In 1761 he built a beautiful altar for the church, which can still be seen in the art gallery in Lviv.

In addition, on the facade of the church there is still an image that reminds everyone of the famous third eye. And also there are several memorial tables, one of which is devoted to the centenary of the birth of Adam Mickiewicz.

In Soviet times this cult structure also had a hard time. The church was closed, and it was not revived until the 90s of the 20th century. Now the church is functioning, he  belongs to the UAOC.
