Museum Old village

Museum "Old village" is located in Kolochava village of Mezhgorsky district of Transcarpathian region. It is the first museum devoted to the rural life of Transcarpathia. Museum exhibits convey all the vital directions of the inhabitants of Verkhovyna - spirituality, culture, material side.

Under the roof of one building, the creators of the museum managed to unite the culture of several nationalities - Hutsuls, Hungarians, Germans, Romanians, Czechs, Jews, Slovaks.

In the museum "Old Village" there are about ten residential and utility rooms. Also here are items of everyday use, works of art by indigenous masters who created in the 19-20 century. In the "Old Village" there are also exclusive exhibits. These include the smithy of the 40s of the last century, a rural school with a "summer class", a two-section house of a Jewish synagogue.In the forge itself collected the most running tools, which were brought to the museum from many parts of Ukraine.

The house of the beginning of the 20th century, which is also in the museum, attracts with its exclusive collection of creative works. Among them is worth mentioning clothes, embroideries, wedding dresses, canvases and canvases of famous artists of Ukraine.
