Residence of the princes Rakoczy (White House)

The residence of the princes Rakoczy (White House) is located in the center of Mukachevo, in a closed courtyard of a small size, which hid behind more modern buildings. In 1667, the Transylvanian princes Rakoci began the construction of the White House. The palace of the princes Rakoczy is a one-story building in the Baroque style.

In the 17th and 18th centuries, the residence was one of the dominant architectural structures on the territory where the central square of the World is located in our time. In 1726, the reconstruction of the palace began, which then became the property of the Counts of Schönborn. After the rebuilding, the castle found the second floor, a magnificent baroque portaland even some details in the Renaissance style.
