Museum-Estate Selyuchenko, Oposhnya
In the village of Oposhnya, a memorial museum-estate was opened in the house of the world famous ceramist A. Selyuchenko. It is in this museum that you can learn about the life and creative path of the honored master ofUkrainian folk art.
A. Selyuchenko was born in 1921 and spent her whole life in Opishna in the family of simple potters. She can be called a native inhabitant of Oposhni, because only once in her life she left her native village for a while.
A. Selyuchenko is considered an outstanding master of Ukrainian clay toys. With the technology of making clay products in the home and with her works can be found in the museum. The pottery gong, which was used by the ceramist, is still preserved in the courtyard of the manor.
