Museum of the history of the resort Mirgorod

On the territory of the sanatorium "Horol" in a separate building on the second floor in 1998 the People's Museum of the history of the resort "Mirgorod" was opened.  Expositions in this museum were devoted to the history of the health resort and I. Zubkovsky - zemstvo doctor. It was he who discovered the healing properties of Mirgorodskaya mineral water back in 1914. There was an event when in Mirgorod, to provide the city with tap water, drilling of an artesian well was started. But the brackish water, extracted from there, was not for drinking, so Zubkovsky sent her samples for analysis. The study of water showed that it has medicinal propertiesand is similar in composition to the waters from the springs of Aachen and Baden-Baden.

In 1917, the Mirgorod hydropathic was opened, which is also represented in the exposition, but, unfortunately, at the moment the original building with the turret was not preserved.
