Museum of Ceramics, Mirgorod

Mirgorod Museum of Ceramics is based in the building of the former technical school of ceramics. This building was erected in 1896. The establishment produced porcelain, pottery, faience, terracotta.

The museum is made in the style of the French Renaissance. Since the foundation of the school, the first expositions have appeared in it.

In this museum unique productsfrom China, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, porcelain of Copenhagen, Ukrainian faience, works of Meissen, Wedgwood are presented. At the base of the museum's exposition are twenty compositions of sculptors A. Adamson, E. Falcone, F. Gordeev. Nikolay at one time ordered that these works be transferred to the museum from the porcelain factory.

Some time  the museum was managed by the artist A. Slastion.  He introduced samples of Ukrainian pottery, embroidery and weaving. Also here are preserved the work of teachers of the technical school and students.  Under work  graduates  technical college of ceramics  there are seven rooms. The museum displays the iconostasis of 1902, which was brought from the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Mirgorod.
