Lake Solnechnoe

Lake Solnechnoye is an artificial reservoir on the left bank of the city of Kiev. It is located in the Darnytskyi district. A lake was formed during the construction of the Kharkiv and Pozniaky housing estates in the 1980s. This is a former quarry, before it was extracted materials for the reclamation of the area, then it was flooded and turned into a beautiful recreation area.

In 2012, an ecological action was held here- local entrepreneurs released 1200 carnivores to clean the lake. After all, this fish eats shellfish and plankton, because of the abundance of which in the Sun Lake, water was flowering. Also cleaned the beach.
