Trinity Church, Kagarlyk

Holy Trinity Church in Kagarlyk is unique, because it is a modern church, but the history of its construction is quite rich. The construction of the new church has been conducted since 1998 on the site of the old church destroyed in the Soviet era. The first church in Kagarlyk was founded in 1800 by the landlord Dmitry Prokopovich Troshchinsky. It was to him in 1793 that Catherine II presented these lands for the construction of her own estate. The famous writer Vasily Kapnist was the rector of the church.

Especially for the Trinity Church was painted the icon "The Last Supper", which belonged to the pen of the famous artist Borovikovsky.

The creation of a new cathedral is conducted on the donations of local entrepreneurs, residents of the city and its administration.  In 2002, the first divine service took place in the church.
