Stepan Bandera Family Museum

The personality of Stepan Bandera is rather unusual and occupies an important place in the history of the Ukrainian liberation movement. Many call it a symbol of the struggle for freedom of the Ukrainian people. All his childhood he spent in a small town in the Lviv region, where his spirit was gradually cultivated and views on life were formed. Residents of the city of Stry honor the memory of their fellow countrymen.

Residents of Stryi honor the memory of their fellow countrymen. Therefore, with considerable efforts, here in 2010 the museum was opened to the outstanding politician Stepan Bandera.

The opening of the Bandera family museum was timed to coincide with the 101st anniversary of the birth of the OUN leader. The museum was located in the house where Stepan spent his young years. The exposition is divided into five separate rooms and a basement. Here you can walk the paths of childhood apologist of the national idea, as well as get acquainted with all members of his family. The museum has collected a huge amount of personal belongings, documents and photographs, which were carefully selected and systematized by the local Verkhovyna museum.

The price for the entrance to the museum is quite symbolic and is 1 UAH for children, 2 UAH for adults.
