At Kontraktova Square in the Ukrainian capital is a stone tent weighing half a ton. The commemorative sign of the Orange Revolution was opened on its first anniversary - November 6, 2005. The bronze tablet on a stone block says that on this place on November 6, 2004, students unfolded the first tent city of the Orange Revolution. Here, on Podol, the election headquarters of the opposition was located.

The tents moved to Khreshchatyk after the second round of presidential elections and stayed there until January 23, 2004 - until Viktor Yushchenko took office as President of Ukraine.

A stone tent is not the only memorable sign of the Orange Revolution. The wall of the main post office on Khreshchatyk was covered with inscriptions in support of it, some of them are now enclosed under glass.
