Temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh
The Temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Kiev has a rich history that stretches back to the 19th century. It is located near the gates of the Lower Lavra. Earlier, the building of the present church housed the building number 112 of the First Urban Infectious Hospital.
The temple is built in the shape of a tower according to a project approved in 1879. For a long time there was a printing shop of laurels, and later the tower was given to the use of hospitals.
In 2010, it was decided to restore the chapel at the hospital. To this end, the Primate of the UOC consecrated the nacional cross. In 2011, with the blessing of Metropolitan Volodymyr, the church was consecrated.
To date, the construction of the temple complex continues. The building of the Sunday school is almost completed. In the walls of the church, both evening services and Divine Liturgies are held. The doors of the temple are open to all believers.
