The temple of Xenia of Petersburg
In Svyatoshinsky district of Kiev there is a cemetery where the martyr Serafima and her followers lie, only about 2000 nuns of the Intercession and Florovsky women's monasteries, monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, and also many monasteries of Kiev.
Since the beginning of the 2000s, the funeral services of the most revered martyrs were held at the graves of the most venerated nuns. In 2008, it was decided to build a temple named after Xenia of St. Petersburg, it was founded near the central entrance to the cemetery. The construction did not last long and lasted only six months. On July 13, the church was consecrated, and 3 days later the first solemn liturgy was held. Now the temple is small, it's just a small chapel, but in the future it is planned to create a large temple. Through the efforts of the parish, a cross was erected here in memory of the soldiers who fell in the fight against the fascists and liberated Kiev. In 2009, the first miraculous icon of Spiridon of Trimiphuntskyappeared in the church, the metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev presented it to him.
